Using Custom Fields in KeePass

You can add and delete Custom Fields from within the KeePass client as well.

For more information, see "Custom Strings" under the Advanced heading at:

Limitations

  • Currently Custom Fields in KeePass for Pleasant do not yet provide the additional security of KeePass' "In-Memory Protection"

Custom Field Templates

In the coming future, Custom Fields will have a more robust/advanced method of templating standardized fields/entries.

For now, it is possible with some workarounds:

  1. Create a "Template" Folder
  2. Create a Credential Entry or Entries with the desired Custom Field(s)

Then, when using one of these templates:

  1. Copy the Credential "Template"
  2. Make your modifications, and
  3. Move it to the desired location.
